Otto Link Tenor (1940's) NY "Eburnated Bar" Slant
Here is a vintage, 1940’s Otto Link “Eburnated Bar” tenor mouthpiece. This mouthpiece was opened by craftsman Brian Powell and marked .095”, and has serial number “1487”. This mouthpiece measures .098” on my gauge.
These Eburnated Bar pieces were the first hard rubber pieces with the Otto Link name and features a very deep chamber that was the style of the era. This mouthpiece was recut to have a long, low rollover for a deep, dark sound. There was a repair on the beak with epoxy to fix a tooth gouge.
We prefer to sell our vintage mouthpieces in their original or existing condition and let the customer choose what to do with it. We can offer a 10% discount on our services for customization, please request by email at sebastianknoxwoodwinds@gmail.com.
