Here is an original lacquer, 1979 Selmer Mark VII tenor. This tenor is in excellent condition with a recent overhaul and not much play on it. Lacquer is an estimated 85%.
This instrument features the French flower and butterfly pattern and light lacquer. The Selmer Mark VII can be characterized as more powerful than the Mark VI and possibly darker, similar to late period Mark VI’s. Joe Henderson used one of these instruments during the 1970’s and got one of the most enviable tones during this period.
It comes with a used SKB hard case.
