Meyer Tenor (1960's) NYUSA 6MM - Ronnie Scott
Here is an original 1960’s Meyer NY USA 6MM tenor mouthpiece. This mouthpiece measures .080” on my gauge.
This piece comes to us from the collection of Pat Labarbera who is widely known for his work with such luminaries as Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones, Woody Herman and even Carlos Santana. This mouthpiece was a personal gift to Pat from London saxophonist and club owner, Ronnie Scott. At the time it was noted that Sonny Rollins had been “using a Meyer” so naturally Ronnie went out and bought a buch. Ultimately, this piece stayed with Pat until now.
There are some fleabite nicks along the very finely crafted tip rai that should be noted from use but otherwise in very good condition.
