Otto Link Soprano (1960's) Tone Edge Florida Slant 7*
Here is a vintage, 1960’s Otto Link “Tone Edge” slant signature soprano piece, stamped 7*. This piece had minor wear at the tip and was expertly restored by Sebastian Knox to a .060” tip.
This particular piece is from the series that isn’t marked USA or France with the square bottom. This is the iconic large chamber soprano exemplified most notably by the great Wayne Shorter. The more open chamber produces a voice that is the opposite of the Selmer Soloist squeeze design that feels very open and free. This is ideal for someone looking for a more personal and unique voice in soprano.
The tip correction is very much in the style of the original finish work and plays very easily throughout the range.
