Tone Edge Florida/Early Babbit 4*, 98 tip Ted Klum

Here is a  1970's Florida Otto Link "Tone Edge" tenor mouthpiece. This piece measures .098" or closer to a 7  tip opening. This mouthpiece comes with its original box.

This mouthpiece is in very good condition and is stamped 4* on the side in the Florida era tip font. This is the "small USA" blank, with no number under the table.

These were the first mouthpieces coined "Early Babbitt" by the first online dealers as they were among the first group of Tone Edge to have "Otto Link" printed straight across the barrel as opposed to on a slant.

This piece was opened for a professional musician when he was living in NYC by Ted Klum at his home in Little Falls NJ in the late 1990's to the tip size that it is now. Ted's signature is not on the mouthpiece.

We prefer to sell our vintage mouthpieces in their original or existing condition and let the customer choose what to do with it. We can offer a 10%  discount on our services for customization, please request by email at sebastianknoxwoodwinds@gmail.com
