Here is a vintage 1970's Selmer E 'Soloist Style'. This piece measures .055" on my gauge.
This mouthpiece comes from the collection of veteran Canadian saxophonist, Kirk MacDonald and was played extensively by him. This piece has some marks in the throat that make it slightly less than round but the table, tip, baffle and facing are guaranteed to be original.
Soloist soprano mouthpieces were a quantum leap forward in soprano design, offering a design that provided better stability, ease of intonation and projection. This piece is perfect for a player who wants a size that is easy to control with all the advantages of the small, squeeze chamber design.
