Wanne Tenor (2010's) Gaia 2 7*
Here is an original Theo Wanne Gaia 2 tenor mouthpiece. This mouthpiece measures .105” on my gauge.
Theo Wanne became a popular choice for saxophonists beginning in the 1990’s with his studio in Philadelphia, Mouthpiece Heaven. There was a “who’s who” of players that came for his custom work as well as an enviable collection of vintage mouthpieces. Wanne was also one of the earliest online dealers of vintage and custom pieces and has contributed greatly in his effort to provide free info about mouthpiece histories and refacing knowledge.
This is an earlier iteration of Theo’s Gaia piece that features a very long but lower baffle profile, rounded sidewalls and a very large chamber for an open but clear and powerful voice.
It comes with the original pouch and screwdriver for the Enlightened ligature.
