Here is a wood "Jazz" model tenor mouthpiece made by the late Fred Lebayle. Sebastian Knox opened this piece from an .080" (5) tip opening to .098"(7).

Fred Lebayle's handmade mouthpieces started showing up on the market in the 2000's. Fred, who recently passed away, worked with a virtual "who's who" of the NYC jazz scene making original designs that weren't simply copies of classic models.

The combination of the material and the design which is smaller inside made it an ideal candidate to open to a more commonly played size. Sebastian finished this piece with a similar, true 'rollover' at the tip as Fred had designed it to be.
