Otto Link Tenor (1980's) Babbitt "Tone Edge" 1 Chamber
Here is an original, early 1980’s Otto Link “Tone Edge” tenor mouthpiece. This piece measures .088” on my gauge.
These are the second generation of Tone Edge produced by JJ Babbitt, with a separate core and shell, and for the first time, a control stamp from the core used. The number 1 is visible under the table. This mouthpiece features a slim beak, a slightly wider body than its predecessor, and a short, high rollover style baffle.
There is a tooth groove on the beak that doesn’t interfere with the performance of this mouthpiece. If you select a reface, it will be filled in at no extra cost.
